Fantastic Summer

We have been so fortunate to have had guest from all over the United States, Europe, and throughout the world.  It is such a wonderful experience to meet and get to know people from diverse backgrounds, and to realize they are all the same with regard to their desires, needs, and wants.  As we sit around the breakfast table, we ultimately find the world to be such a small place as people discuss their families, friends, and interests.  It seem there is always someone who knows someone who knows one or more of our guests.

We are now half way through July and we are looking forward to the 24th holiday, as we did the 4th of July holiday.  We invited all of our guests, family, and friends to join us for our annual 4th fireworks show.  There were 16 or so people who sat on the front lawn and watched the fireworks from the Inn and from the surrounding residence.  It was absolutely a great time as we sat and visited, had a drink, and a bite to eat while celebrating our nations birthday.

The month of August will bring people for the local Raspberry Day Festival.  This is a weekend full of carnival rides, craft fair booths, rodeo, parade, and all kinds of food and fun for the family.  If you have never been to Bear Lake for a Raspberry Festival, this is the year for you.  Book a room at the Bluebird and enjoy the festivities.

2016 Season Underway

For the first time we have decided to open The Bluebird Inn on the 1st of April.  We have had a terrific response to the early season rates.  From the first of April to the 15th of May, we are offering a reduced rate on our rooms.  Give us a call (800-797-6448) or check us out on the website.

To start off the 2016 season, we have had guests from California, New York, Salt Lake, Wyoming, and Idaho.  We have had several guests celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and we even had some honeymooners.  It is absolutely the best thing ever to get to meet really cool people from all over the country.

The Bluebird Inn grounds are starting to shape up, but the mountain springtime weather is playing havoc on our ability to get out and start with the heavy yard work.  We have had many rainy days and even a few days with snow and sleet.

We are looking forward to a very good season filled with new guests and old friends, and we hope you will take the time to indulge yourself in a romantic, quiet  getaway to The Bluebird Inn at Bear Lake.  We Hope to see you soon.

The 4th of July at the Inn

We have had an unbelievable July.  The fireworks show we put on over the 4th of July was a ton of fun.  The guests were invited to sit on the front law and view the show.  We displayed the fireworks across the street on the beach of the Lake.  We are a very patriotic group and is is such a blast to share our USA pride with guests from all over the world.  Happy 4th!!!

June at the Bluebird Inn

We can not believe how fast the month of June cruised by.  We had an incredible mouth with guests from around the world. We had a young man from Switzerland who had shipped him motorcycle to British Columbia, and was riding it all the way to Honduras.  His mother was a bit concerned about knowing where he was, so he had a GPS implant. This was a very interesting and bight young man. The Bear Lake area held three marathon races in three days.  Each race was sponsored by a different state.  The first was Idaho, followed by Utah, and concluding the weekend of racing was Wyoming.  We had 5 guests who participated in all three marathons.  Four of our guests ran half marathons each of the three days, and we had one guest who actually completed three full marathon races. We also had guests who were celebrating anniversaries and honeymoons.  It was so fun to get to know these guests and to share in their adventures. We are really looking forward to July and celebrating our country on the 4th.  Take a look at our web site and come relax with us.

This Past Week

Over the past week, we have had guests from Michigan, Massachusetts, Utah, Idaho, California, Sweden, and Holland.   The most rewarding element of running a B&B is the opportunity we have of meeting people from all over the world.  It is such a neat experience to sit at the breakfast table and discover all the wonderful attributes people have.  It is fun to listen to the guest converse about their lives and their families and to learn that no matter where we come from, or what our background is, we can always find common ground to converse about.  This Memorial Day weekend is the beginning of the busy season for us.  From now until Labor Day, we will have the opportunity to meet new guests and to reunite with our repeat guests (or should I say family).  We would invite all of you to spend a romantic night or two at the Bluebird Inn at Bear Lake.

The 2015 Season

We woke up the other morning and welcomed our first guests of the 2015 season.  Our first guests of the year were the Brostrom's from Grantsville, Utah.  The Brostrom's are return guests and we were so happy to see them again.  The weather in Bear Lake has been fantastic as we have already started mowing the law and the grounds are starting to green up nicely.  We have all the water features up and running and the big pond is playing host to several duck and a couple of geese.

We are really looking forward to another great year.  One of our favorite things is getting to see repeat guest who are more family and friends then B&B guests.  It was especially nice to see the Hansen's from Taylorsville, Utah.  We really love you guys and it was great to see you and visit with you again.  We love the Bluebird Inn and all the fantastic people we get to meet.  Come see us.
